Zuivelhoeve

At Nuutro, we are proud to announce our collaboration with Zuivelhoeve, the Dutch dairy producer that has stood for artisanal quality since 1981. As a turn-key project, we supported Zuivelhoeve in expanding and optimizing their production processes, with preserving their distinctive product quality at the center.

The Company

Zuivelhoeve began in 1981 in an old clog barn in Twekkelo, where founder Diane Roerink started selling artisanal dairy products. The family business has grown into an established name in the Dutch dairy industry with more than 95 stores. Their motto “Gewoon Buit’ngewoon” reflects their commitment to quality, known for their characteristic thick yogurt and use of 100% fresh meadow milk from local Twente farmers.

The Challenge

For an established producer of artisanal dairy products, optimizing existing production processes is a delicate balance. Increasing efficiency and hygiene must occur without compromising the unique quality characteristics that distinguish the brand. This requires an engineering approach that combines both technical expertise and understanding of artisanal production processes.

Our Approach

Nuutro realized a turn-key solution over 9 months that is specifically tailored to Zuivelhoeve’s production needs. By working closely with their production and quality teams, we could implement process optimizations that brought the desired efficiency and hygiene improvements while preserving the characteristic product quality.

Our approach is characterized by co-creation instead of implementing a standardized solution, where we placed the specific requirements of artisanal dairy production at the center.

Results & Future

This project demonstrates that Nuutro not only excels in supporting innovative startups but can also add value for established niche players in mature industries. Understanding challenging products and artisanal processes enables us to provide effective solutions for diverse customers in the food industry.
This is now our second project for Zuivelhoeve within two years, forming the basis for a long-term collaboration. The success confirms our position as a versatile partner for both traditional producers and innovative food-tech companies.
